BRAND NEW HOCKEY COACHING SYSTEM
INTRODUCED!

Dearne Valley Hockey club Has introduce a successful Canadian Style Hockey training system. It is designed to take a raw beginner in stages through the basic skills of hockey receiving certificates for achieving each level ensuring that each beginner is of sufficient skill to compete at league level.

The Coaching system that has been introduced has ten levels with ten skills at each level. The candidates will have to achieve eight out of the ten skills at each level to receive a pass mark.

Each level covers all four elements of the game (Skating, Stick and puck handling, passing and shooting) at increasing difficulty until level 7 where the basic skills are then increased in difficulty by inserting them into hockey drills.

Don't be fooled by any other club that they are using this system, if the coach is not a competent skater and player then it cannot be taught. The coach has not only to understand the mechanics of each of the skills but also has to understand the theory behind the skills.
